PRIME CIRCLE BRINGS IT HOME FOR SUMMER
2011 was a year filled with honour and accolades for
PRIME CIRCLE.
With the success of the chart topping Jekyll & Hyde, which produced several hits on the top 10 charts,
PRIME CIRCLE catapulted to the top – claiming the title of the No. 1 band in South Africa. The platinum-selling album saw the five piece rock band take on the world – literally.
After two successful European tours, and sharing the stage with Billboard-charting artists
3 Doors Down and
Alter Bridge, as well as taking home the most prestigious title for 2011 – the SAMA –award for BEST ROCK ALBUM and the MK Award’s ‘International Breakthrough act’, the much loved band have chosen to bring the music home to their fans, by embarking on a national tour during December this year.
Says Ross Learmonth, lead singer of
PRIME CIRCLE: “This has been a fantastic year and we are grateful to the fans for making most of it happen. Jekyll & Hyde went gold in nine days and then platinum soon after. We also played on stage with
3 Doors Down and
Alter Bridge, which is a coup for any artist wanting to break the international market. And that is why we will be touring South Africa over the December period – to bring our music back home to our fans.”
Marketing Manager for New Music at EMI South Africa, Kevin Grenfell added, “We are extremely proud to be associated with a band of such high calibre. Their (album) sales figures as well as the awards they have won, speak for themselves.”
For avid fans wishing to see the band perform hits such as ‘Breathing’ ‘Turn Me to Stone’, ’Never Gonna Bring Us Down’, ‘Turning in my Sleep’ as well as current radio hits ‘Closure’ and ‘All of Me’, be sure to look out for Prime Circle at a town near you……..old favourites such as ‘She Always Gets what She Wants’ and ‘Consider Me’, are also on the set list – they’re a must see for summer.
